Exposure rates of the Dorval Asset Management Range – 21st February 2020

The whole world is closely monitoring concrete efforts to contain the coronavirus, while initial indicators for February are not helping provide much visibility. 

 

 

Markit PMI figures were unsurprisingly down in Japan, while European stats rose slightly and US showings plunged, pushed down by services, which came as a surprise (cf. chart 1). US figures are at their lowest since 2013 and contrast sharply with other indicators, which rose considerably, such as consumer confidence, as well as business sentiment in the manufacturing industry for Philadelphia and New York (cf. chart 2).
